SPFC-NH-xxM-2/2C Fiber Optic Closure

Horizontal Splice Type · Up to 144 Cores · 2IN 2OUT

YD814.1-2004 Standard Up to 144 Cores 2IN 2OUT High-Strength ABS

Product Overview

The SPFC-NH-xxM-2/2C is a horizontal fiber optic closure designed for straight-through and split optical connections of various cables (single fiber or ribbon fiber, cable diameter ≤18mm). It is suitable for overhead, duct, underground, and manhole installations, and can also be used for all-plastic local telephone cable connections.

The internal cable rack can be combined with metal or plastic crimping racks to meet different needs. The maximum splitting ratio is 1:8 (2 trays) or 1:16 (1 tray), with a maximum capacity of 144 cores for single fiber.

Key Features

1

Compliant with National Standards

All performance indexes conform to the YD814.1-2004 standard, ensuring product quality and industry compliance.

2

High-Strength ABS Housing

The outer shell is made of high-strength engineering plastic (ABS) with anti-aging agent, injection-molded into a rectangular arc shape. Lightweight, high mechanical strength, corrosion-resistant, UV-resistant, and long service life.

3

Reliable Sealing Design

The case body and cable ports are sealed with silicone gum combined with multiple stainless steel spring locks, providing reliable sealing performance while being easy to open, use, and maintain.

4

Flexible and Expandable

The overlapping splice tray design allows flexible fiber core configuration and expansion. The independent insulating grounding device makes grounding convenient and safe.

5

Dual-Spec Cable Ports

Cable access holes are available in two specifications: 16mm and 18mm. Sealing plugs can be configured according to demand, effectively enhancing sealing reliability and stability.

6

High Capacity

Maximum splitting ratio of 1:16 (single tray) or 1:8 (dual trays), with a maximum capacity of 144 cores, meeting large-scale splicing requirements.

Application Scenarios

  • Overhead Installation: Rectangular arc structure provides stability; lateral pressure resistance ≥2000N/10cm meets the mechanical requirements of overhead environments.
  • Duct Installation: Silicone seal combined with stainless steel spring locks provides moisture and water resistance, suitable for underground duct environments.
  • Underground & Manhole: Operating temperature range of -20~+60℃ adapts to large temperature variations in underground manholes; corrosion-resistant housing ensures long-term stability.
  • All-Plastic Cable Access: Internal racks can be combined with metal or plastic crimping racks to meet splicing requirements for different cable types.

Installation Instructions

  1. Peel the cable outer jacket, remove the inner housing and loose tube, clean off the filling grease, leaving 1.1~1.5m of fiber and 30~50mm of steel core.
  2. Fix and lock the optical cable, and simultaneously secure the reinforced steel core. If the cable diameter is less than 16mm, wrap self-adhesive tape around the fixed area to reach 16mm diameter before securing.
  3. Guide the fiber into the splice tray and sleeve the heat shrink tube and protection tube onto the pair of fibers to be connected. After splicing, insert the stainless steel (or quartz) reinforcing core rod into the tube, ensuring the joint is centered. Heat appropriately to fuse the fiber and protection tube together. Place the protected joint into the splice slot (one tray holds 12 fibers).
  4. Lay the left fibers evenly in the splice tray and secure coiled fibers with nylon ties. Use trays from bottom to top. After all fibers are spliced, cover the top tray and secure it.
  5. Use the grounding wire according to the project plan.
  6. Close the lid and use the spring lock to secure the bottom box as a whole.
  7. Position and fix the hanger according to requirements. Installation is complete.
